A voluntary approach

The Belgian Act of 19 July 2018, which transposes Directive (EU) 2016/2102, requires an accessibility statement from public sector bodies. This site is published by a self-employed person: it does not fall within that scope, and the European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) exempts service microenterprises. No law therefore requires this page. It is published voluntarily, in the format intended for the public sector, because accessibility is part of serious work.

Target standard

The site aims for level AA of WCAG 2.2 (the reference for the European standard EN 301 549 corresponds to WCAG 2.1 AA, which the target level encompasses). The criteria specific to WCAG 2.2 are applied, notably touch target size and focus visibility.

Conformance status

This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partial conformance, tested.

On 16 July 2026, an internal audit was carried out on 21 page templates across the site's four languages (84 pages, dark theme by default) and on all templates in light theme, using the axe-core 4.12.1 engine (WCAG 2.0/2.1/2.2 rules, levels A and AA), cross-checked with Lighthouse (accessibility: 100/100 on the home page). Automated tests of this kind cover about 30 to 40 % of AA criteria; they were supplemented by scripted technical checks: heading hierarchy, landmarks and skip link, form labels, text alternatives, tab order, focus indicator visibility, touch target size, declared language and language alternatives, reflow at 320 pixels, and measurement of the contrast of text placed on surfaces that tools cannot resolve (translucent header, text on images), including the hover, focus and selection states.

All non-conformances detected by this audit (588 elements in violation before corrections, mainly the ARIA markup of the booking calendar, the distinction of links within text and several light theme contrasts) have been corrected and re-tested: zero violations detected on the audited pages after correction.

No audit has yet been carried out by a certified third party and no VPAT-type report exists: "partially conformant" therefore remains the honest status. The full internal report is kept (methodology, violations before/after, corrections file by file) and an external AnySurfer-type audit is envisaged when means allow.

What is in place

Contrasts measured and corrected. The text colours of the design system have been checked and corrected to reach level AA, in dark theme as in light theme (for example the tertiary text reaches a ratio of 5.81:1 on a dark background and the light blue accent 5.6:1, where the original values failed).
Animations reduced on request. When your system requests reduced animations, a global mechanism switches them all off, and each animated component of the site (around sixty cases recorded) applies the same rule.
44-pixel touch targets. The menu, the language selector, the buttons and the filter controls respect a minimum size of 44 pixels on touch screens and small screens.
Visible focus. Every interactive element displays a visible 2-pixel outline on keyboard focus, backed by a halo, across the whole site.
Full keyboard navigation. The site is fully usable with the keyboard. The mobile navigation drawer traps focus while it is open and returns it on closing.
Skip link. A "skip to content" link is the first element reachable with the keyboard on every page.
Semantic HTML. Structure in native tags, strict heading hierarchy with no skipped level, alternative text for graphic elements (client logos have a text equivalent for screen readers).
Labelled forms. Each field has a visible, associated label. Error messages exist in the site's four languages and fields in error are signalled to assistive technologies.
FAQ without JavaScript. The questions and answers use the native details element: they work without script, with the keyboard, with any browser.
Dark and light theme. The theme is rendered server-side (no flash on load) and declared to the browser, which adapts its own components (scrollbars, form fields).
Forced-contrast modes. Windows contrast themes have been supported since 16 July 2026: the system palette replaces the site's and form controls remain visible.
Charts backed by text. Decorative charts (breakdown of a rate, skills radar) carry a text description and, for numerical data, a full text caption next to the visual.

Non-accessible or unverified content

As it stands, the known limitations are as follows:

No external certification. The whole rests on a self-assessment. Undetected non-conformances may exist.
No tests yet with users of assistive technologies. The screen reader checks were technical, not real usage tests.
Charts: coarser reading. The charts (donut, radar) provide a text alternative and a caption, but fine exploration of the values with a screen reader remains less rich than the visual.
Recent page transitions. The animated transitions between the site's sections are a recent addition. They switch off when the system requests reduced animations, but their behaviour with screen readers has not yet been evaluated in depth.
Downloadable documents. Any PDF documents linked from the site have not been audited.

These points are tracked and corrected on an ongoing basis; this page will be updated at each notable change.

Preparation of this statement

This statement was prepared on 16 July 2026 on the basis of a tooled internal audit: axe-core 4.12.1 and Lighthouse on 21 templates × 4 languages and two themes, scripted technical checks (headings, landmarks, labels, focus, targets, reflow, calculated contrasts), corrections in the sources then a proof re-scan. The scan script is kept in the site's repository and will be replayed at each notable change.
