licences / Usage rights

Image usage licences

Every quote states the licence granted: what you may do with the delivered images, where, and for how long. The files carry their metadata (author, credit, terms), and that metadata is authoritative. Three tiers cover most needs, and the quote refines them when necessary.

Personal

included

Private use: prints, albums, personal social accounts. No commercial use.

Commercial

+30%

Your company's communication: website, social media, press, internal material. Unlimited duration, worldwide.

Packaging and advertising

+50%

Products, packaging, paid campaigns. Exact scope and possible exclusivity are set in the quote.

In every case

  • The credit "Photo : Lenny Obez · lennyobez.com" accompanies every publication, unless the quote says otherwise.
  • No resale, sublicensing or transfer to a third party.
  • Embedded metadata and any watermark may not be removed.
  • Training AI models on the images is expressly reserved.

The images published on this site are not royalty-free: all rights reserved. To use one, go through the enquiry form above.

Where the money actually goes

A fair question for a shoot rate too: what actually reaches me? As a Belgian sole trader the headline figure is not the take-home. Here is roughly how every €100 of billed photography splits before anything lands in my pocket.

28 € NET / €100
  • Income tax (current year) 25 €25%
  • Social contributions 18 €18%
  • Pension savings (PLCI/EIP) 8 €8%
  • Sick-leave & income buffer 6 €6%
  • Gear & software (Adobe, Lightroom) 5 €5%
  • Travel to shoots 4 €4%
  • Insurance, studio, accountant 6 €6%
  • Net, in my pocket 28 €28%

So a session billed at €600 leaves roughly €170 net once tax, social contributions, pension, reserves, gear and travel are set aside. Indicative figures for a Belgian indépendant, not accounting advice.

note / Travel

What the travel rate covers

On-site travel is billed at the official Belgian mileage rate, not a markup. The €0.4761 per kilometre is a single line that already covers everything it costs to put a car on the road.

0,4761 €/km
  • Fuel 30%
  • Vehicle depreciation 25%
  • Maintenance and tyres 20%
  • Insurance 15%
  • Road taxes 10%

The rate follows the federal mileage allowance, indexed yearly. It bundles fuel, wear, insurance, taxes and the slow loss of the car's value into one fair figure, so there is no separate travel markup on top.
