Free-solo climbing, urbex and offroad exploration
Climbing, parkour, and the quiet work of finding a place worth photographing. The same patience that ships software, pointed at a cliff.
What pulls me outside
Climbing & urban exploration
Climbing, parkour and urban exploration are where what I do for fun becomes useful: the eye and the nerve I bring to location scouting. Careful, practised work, at home far from the ground.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work as a location scout for climbing and outdoor film production?
Yes, I take on location-scouting projects for film and photography across the Ardenne. I assess terrain for technical difficulty, safety and visual impact, handle permits and access, then guide the crew through the shoot. This is portfolio work rather than a standing service, but I approach each project with full commitment.
What skills qualify you for outdoor location scouting and climbing film work?
Climbing, parkour and stealth movement allow me to assess route difficulty, advise on camera positions for vertical terrain, and physically scout hard-to-reach locations. I can guide safe filming approaches on exposed ground and bring movement expertise to projects where accessing or understanding the terrain matters.
Is location scouting your main business or a side project?
It is largely personal and portfolio work. Outdoor scouting and film collaborations are genuinely open to me, but expect selective projects rather than constant availability or a commercial service.
What are your rates for location scouting on a film production?
Pricing is per project based on scope, location, duration and travel. Since this is not a standard commercial offering, rates are discussed directly. Share your project brief, location, timeline and budget range, and we can agree on what works.
What safety measures do you use for climbing and parkour filming?
Safety is mandatory: proper rigging, continuous communication between climber and crew, dedicated belayers (not doubling as camera), weather checks, and pre-shoot terrain assessment. If conditions or the setup fall short, we pause or reschedule. Vertical terrain requires discipline and respect for the risk.
Are you insured for location scouting and film production work?
Insurance depends on the production scope. Larger shoots typically use the production's own liability cover, which sets crew requirements and should be clarified early. As a registered self-employed professional in Belgium, I work within that framework and confirm coverage before any shoot begins.
Can you scout climbing and film locations in the Ardenne region?
Yes, the Ardenne is a core region for me. I know the terrain, forests, rivers, crags and villages, and can assess logistics: access routes, permit requirements, weather patterns and ideal light timing. It has strong potential for dramatic climbing and movement content.
How do you scout and prepare a climbing location for film production?
I evaluate routes for difficulty, movement quality, camera positions and safety setup, then visit at your intended shoot time to read the light. I document findings with photos and notes covering parking, water, shelter, permits, rockfall risk and crew positioning, then align the location with your creative direction.
How do I contact you about a location scouting project?
Send the core details: location, timeline, budget range and shoot type. I will respond honestly about fit and availability. A direct first conversation saves time for everyone.
